U.S. Sen. John Thune, Republican from South Dakota, has told CNN correspondent Manu Raju that he expects Republicans to try to strike the $35 insulin cap from the Inflation Reduction Act.
Thune raked in $35,000 in one month — ONE MONTH — from the pharmaceutical industry.
It costs $5 to make a vial of insulin.
So, even at $35, the industry makes a hefty profit.
Some people are paying $1000 a month for insulin, and that’s with insurance. For a cheap drug they need to stay alive.
People are dying because they are rationing their insulin to the point where they are killing themselves.
Ladies and gentlemen, your Republican Party.
Remember this when you vote.
